#TBFriday with Smartclicks

On 14th of June, 2023 Smartclicks had a convening of great leaders and influencers in the field of technology to talk and enlighten participants about the theme “Mind Matters: Navigating Mental Health in Digital Age” and highlight the intersection between mental health and digital technology. The meeting’s key takeaway was that technology is amazing but that we must be intentional in terms of what aspect we use and how we use them to benefit us healthily.

The event was the second edition of our annual program Tech4Growth Summit where we usually bring together different stakeholders and experts in Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Education and Wellness sectors together to x-ray key issues for sustainable positive technology use among children, youth adults. The aim of this annual convening is to engage with relevant stakeholders of topical issues and draw out meaningful outcomes that are intended to form part of our campaign messages and recommendations to influence digital use policies that supports societal growth through technological innovations.

Considering the theme for this year, we had in attendance students, teachers, parents, media professionals, youth and other professionals while the conversation was largely led by: Mr. Bello Sani – a Software Engineer; Mr. Abubakar Muhammad Abdu – an IT Consultant; Mr. Nura Sani Waziri – a Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Expert; Ms. Amina Idris – a IT Trainger and Digital Rights Advocate; Mrs. Dinatu Emmanuel Ishaku – a Health Literacy Expert and Mr. Martin Ndudim Egbuta, who is a Mental Health Advocate.
